Call for Papers: Workshop Titled “Taiwan in a Changing World: Communication, Compassion, and Global Perspectives”
We have received a gracious invitation from the Department of Medical Humanities and Social Medicine at the School of Medicine, National Cheng Kung University. They are inviting IMAS to participate in a workshop titled “Taiwan in a Changing World: Communication, Compassion, and Global Perspectives,” scheduled to take place on September 15, 2023 (Friday).
After dedicating several semesters to your studies, you have undoubtedly developed unique perspectives within your respective fields of research. If you are intrigued by attending this workshop, please provide your contact information (phone number, email, Line/WhatsApp/WeChat, etc.) and submit hard copies of your paper (limited to 15 pages) and a PowerPoint presentation of your paper no later than September 1st (Friday) at 17:00 to the IMAS office. Please note that each presentation is expected to be no longer than 10 minutes. A review committee will subsequently convene to evaluate submissions and select approximately 2 presenters for this workshop. The chosen presenters will be notified by September 12th.
To facilitate the management of this event, a registration fee of 700 TWD is required. However, it’s important to mention that the organizers are generously offering subsidies to cover transportation, meals, and two overnight stays in Tainan city. We are planning to depart for Tainan on the evening of September 14th (Thursday) and return on September 16th (Saturday). Rest assured, the registration fee will be refunded to the selected presenters at a later date.
