Academic Excellence Scholarship
  • Applicable Degree:
    Bachelor, Masters, Ph.D.
  • Eligible Applicants:
    Current Degree Students
  • Award Amount:
    Depending on funding availability
  • Notes:
    Students who have been enrolled at NCCU for more than one semester may apply. A transcript of the previous semester will be required upon applying. Those who have received other full scholarships are excluded.
  • How to Apply:
    Apply to the OIC in September and late February each year (actual deadlines to be announced by the OIC).

IMAS Scholarship
  • Coverage:
    This scholarship is given every semester and the amount depends on funding availability.
  • Eligibility:

    The purpose of the scholarship is to recognize and reward individuals who have achieved academic excellence in the program.

    • This scholarship is offered to first-year or second-year registered students who are not receiving any other scholarships, including MOE, MOFA and any OIC New student scholarships.
    • Applicants must have completed at least two courses in the previous semester.
  • Awarding Process:

    The IMAS secretary will send an email announcement at the beginning of each semester with the application form and the application deadline.

    Required Documents for Application:

    • Completed IMAS Scholarship Application
    • Full transcript of IMAS courses (New students will be ranked according to their entrance examination and previous transcripts)
    • Scholarly works published or presented in conferences related to Asia-Pacific studies
    • Other proof of outstanding academic achievements.

IMAS New Student Scholarship
  • Coverage:
    The number of scholarships will be adjusted based on the annual budget allocation.
  • Eligibility:
    The number of scholarships will be adjusted based on the annual budget allocation.
  • Awarding Process:
    1. During the admission process, the Admissions Committee will review the application materials of new students and determine the number of scholarships and priority order.
    2. Scholarship recipients are required to pay the full tuition and miscellaneous fees in order to complete the registration. The program will transfer the scholarship amount to the recipient’s account in Taiwan before the end of the semester.
    3. The number of scholarships will be adjusted based on the annual budget allocation.
       

    Responsibilities of Scholarship Recipients:

    1. Scholarship recipients must complete the registration process for the awarded semester. Failure to maintain enrollment, take a leave of absence, withdraw, or transfer to another institution will result in the cancellation of the scholarship, and any received scholarship funds must be returned.
    2. If a scholarship recipient fails to pay the tuition fees in full by the payment deadline of the awarded semester, their scholarship will be revoked.
    3. If any fraudulent or false information is discovered regarding scholarship recipient, their scholarship will be revoked, and any received scholarship funds must be returned.
