Application and Enrollment Procedures

Admission Requirements

Prospective students applying for admission to the International Master’s Program in Asia-Pacific Studies (IMAS) must meet the admission requirements and complete the enrollment process in due time.

International Students

The IMAS program has a quota of 40 spaces for international students. Admission into the program is based on the review of the following materials:

 

  1. Personal Data Form and IMAS Personal Statement.
  2. Two letters of recommendation (2 different referees).
  3. Photocopy of TOEFL/IELTS scores within 2 years or other documents to prove English ability.
  4. Personal honors or other records of awards.

International applicants may pay attention to the information on the NCCU Admission website.

Taiwan Local Students

The IMAS program has a quota of 19 spaces for local Taiwan students. Admission into the program is based 50% on the review of the following materials:

  1. Personal Data Form and IMAS Personal Statement.
  2. Two letters of recommendation (2 different referees).
  3. Photocopy of TOEFL/IELTS scores within 2 years or other documents to prove English ability.
  4. Personal honors or other records of awards.

The remaining 50% of the admission decision is based on an interview:

  • Time, date, and place for the interview will be published on the website 3 days before the interview. Candidates should check the website regularly for updates to the interview details.
