1. Eligibility
The recipients eligible for nomination are doctoral and master’s graduates who obtained their degrees from the University in Academic Years 112–113. (August 1, 2023 – July 31, 2025)
These submissions may be recommended by the supervising professor or a member of the degree examination committee.
Each department may nominate and submit one outstanding doctoral dissertation and one outstanding master’s thesis for review by the College of Social Science office.

Plagiarism similarity report (electronic file)
(If the similarity index exceeds 10%, please include an originality statement and an explanation of the sources of similarity.)

Submission Timeline and Procedures
Step 1: Initial Submission
Students are required to submit the required application documents (Items 1–4) in electronic format via email to imas@nccu.edu.tw by 12:00 noon on February 25.
To ensure an efficient nomination process, the recommender’s signature on the Nomination Form is not required at the initial submission stage.
The program will conduct an internal committee review and select nominations for submission to the College of Social Sciences.

“Application – Academic Year 114 Outstanding Master’s and PhD Thesis Award”
Additional Notes:
The Nomination Form and Letter of Recommendation combined must not exceed 10 pages.
The Letter of Recommendation should clearly describe the thesis’s academic contribution, originality, and future research potential.
Late submissions will NOT be considered.
Step 2: Program-to-College Submission
Applicants approved through the program-level review will be notified by the program.
Please ensure that the Nomination Form and Letter of Recommendation are signed by the recommender(s) and submitted to the IMAS Office by March 20.
Upon completion of internal processing by the IMAS Office, all materials will be forwarded to the College Office by March 23.
The application will then be submitted by the program to the College of Social Sciences.
■ Late submissions will NOT be considered.
3. Review and Awards
After internal review, the College of Social Sciences will select and rank outstanding theses and submit them to the University Thesis Award Selection Committee.
Following the University’s official announcement, the College will confer the Outstanding Master’s and PhD Thesis Awards, with up to two PhD theses and two Master’s theses awarded. Duplicate awards will not be granted.
